A review of Water Wheel Boarding Kennels by John C written on Tuesday 27th of December 2022
We have been to a few cattery's and thought as our parents old cat went here, this would be a safe bet as the usual one in wolviston was full. When I got there, dogs were barking loud although was a bit quieter in cattery zone it was disconcerting.
It was not pleasant, the cat's did have a nice largish space but seemed little interaction and left to get on with it. I dropped the cat's off and if I didn't need to be elsewhere I'd have taken them home there and then. We were due back a few days early so notified cattery to be told they are closed and not providing services for a few days (while our cats were there) we went and collected them early. Staff seemed unhappy we collected cats and when we went to get them, left doors open until we asked them to close them so we could safely recover our cats.
We paid up front £15 per day but finished a full 2 days early. We prefer to lose the cash than leave them there. Our two which hate the boxes ran into them when we got there ready for home. Safe now and we will never return.
Also note, they only accept cash and say they have no internet to accept payments though do occasionally respond to email..
