"Car broke down and aggressive driver"

I hired two cars for my wedding day. One of these cars broke down whilst waiting for the wedding party so could not take the bridesmaids and the other car had to do two runs so the bride was 40 minutes late. After the church the driver immediately stated that he wanted payment for both cars as he had hired a second driver and that cars break down all the time and it's not his fault. He refused to take us to our venue until I paid him..
